Black-headed Grosbeak

I took a really good photo of a Black-headed Grosbeak in our backyard. Notice the dark black head, the orange belly, and the really big beak for cracking open seeds.

Leading a Bird Walk

For the first time, I led two bird walks, both different age groups. We saw a Pileated Woodpecker and heard a Wilson’s Warbler and a Black-headed Grosbeak among the more regular crows, eagles, and robins.
